If you are a racing fan, you are going to like the Lego 76917 kit. This is one of the best racing or car-oriented kits Lego has ever brought out. Racers of all ages will appreciate this kit.
Is it an easy build? Compared to many other Lego kits on the same scale, it is a relatively easy build. However, small fingers may find patience is needed. It is a good idea to see this as a family project.
Lego 76917 Review
Looking at the box, the Nissan Skyline looks relatively easy to build. Once you get everything out of the box, you realize that there is more to this build than meets the eye.
If you enjoy challenging yourself with builds that are a bit more technical, this is the one for you.
Is it worth it? The finished results look excellent especially when you add the Lego 76917 Speed Champions Light Kit from Lightailing. More about that later.
Do you get a minifigure with the kit? Yes, you do. I have to admit that it is not the best Lego minifigure that I have seen. It looks a bit stagnant.
The best thing you can say about the minifigure you get with the Lego 76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Kit is that it is functional. The Brian O'Conner figure does the job of bringing the kit alive.
He is dressed in a white t-shirt and grey pants. You also get a mini spanner with the figure. You can say that the minifigure is multifunctional.
Does the 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Offer Value for Money?
It has to be said that this is not a Lego kit that takes a long time to put together. If you are an experienced Legoist, it takes about slightly over an hour to put the kit together.
An experienced Lego builder may find it takes longer to build this kit. The stickers are slightly fiddly.
Still, if you compare the cost of the kit to build time, I think that you get value for money.
In Europe, the Lego 76917 set costs €24.99. In the UK, you can pick up the kit in a Lego store or online for ?19.99. If you buy in US$ you can expect to pay $24.99. There is no denying it, this kit offers excellent value for money.
How Many Lego Pieces Are In the LEGO 56917 Kit?
The kit consists of 319 pieces. If you are just getting back into Lego after a break, the lower number of bricks makes it the perfect project for an afternoon.
It is not the largest number of bricks. On the upside, you are not going to feel overwhelmed by the number of bricks. When you want to add to your Lego collection quickly, this is a great kit to buy.
Are there any parts of the build that are challenging? On this occasion, I felt that the stickers were slightly challenging to put on.
There are plenty of stickers to go on the exterior of the car and the interior. I have learned from my mistakes.
What I do when I have many stickers, I use a pair of tweezers for lifting them off the sheet and applying them. It makes it so much easier.
Do you get all of the sponsorship stickers? No, you don't get all of the sponsorship stickers that are on the original car.
I think that if you had all of the stickers to apply, it would be too much. Not only would it be too challenging, but it would also spoil the end result.
What About the Details?
Even though Lego 76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R kit is a relatively small Lego kit, there are still plenty of details. The interior of the car is well-designed.
If you like details, you will appreciate the back seat and all of the smaller interior details. Once you get the back spoiler on, the finished product looks as good as the Lego Dodge Charger. Displaying the two together adds emphasis two the kits.

What Can Make the Build More Interesting?
I like personalizing my Lego builds. That does not mean I buy extra stickers or airbrush the kits as many other Lego fans do.
Instead, I like to add touches that maintain the originality of the Lego build I build. A great way of adding extra interest is to add LED lighting kits.
Are LED kits available for all Lego models? No, LED lighting kits are not available for all Lego models.
I thought the kit needed a finishing touch, so I bought their Lego 76917 Speed Champion Kit. When I look at the model sitting in my Lego display case, I think the LED lighting kit from Lightailing gives the model an edge.
Lightailing has a lot to offer. If you are into Lego, I think it is certainly worthwhile to check out their other kits.
