Overall I think that this is a good looking light kit. It was a little hard to hide the wires where they run between and out the back of the buildings. I don't think the remote offers enough functionality to justify the extra cost. About the only thing I use it for is to change the light color for the tree. I don't like that it defaults to off because it makes it impossible to turn the lights on and off with a smart outlet. They have to be turned on with the remote. I will be switching out the control box for a 3-to-1 adaptor.

This is my first set of lightailing
lights, I've used others in the past but definitely my favorite set. Easy to add to the Lego set, I added them as I built. My only issue is the instructions are a little hard to follow but they look great. I like the RGB light in the tree. The set I got is a little different than the one pictured. It has 2 RGB blocks at the bottom of the tree instead of on the building, actually like it better that way.
