There's one thing we've always understood here on this blog, and that's that LEGO is not just for children. The second thing we've always known is that Star Wars and LEGO go together better than most other combinations in the world. So naturally we had to put everything together for today's post and tell you all about the best Star Wars LEGO sets for adults that money can buy.
If you want to find out what our top 5 sets are, then stick around and we'll meet you in the next section!
5. LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236)
OK, if you're a Star Wars diehard fan, then you'll already know about the controversy surrounding the Ewoks, but if you don't, here's a very brief rundown. Some fans of the franchise have a very sceptical view about why certain scenes were ever included in the movies, and the Ewok Village scene is one of them.
For some, they did not include it because of any storytelling value, but because everybody knew Ewoks would sell commercially, and any merchandise featuring it would sell well. And if that is the case, then obviously this Ewok Village scene could leave a sour taste in some people's mouths.
But not for us.
Regardless of the reasons for the scene, it is still one of the most recognizable scenes across every saga in the franchise, so we had to include it. With 1990 pieces and a huge supporting cast of minifigures, this is one of the most impressive display pieces of them all and it's a perfect build for adults who still have a special place in their heart for the original trilogy.
4. LEGO Star Wars BB-8 (75187)
Next up is BB-8, because this is one of those Star Wars LEGO sets for adults that just has a wow factor from the moment you open the box. And once you've built it? Even better! BB-8 is arguably one of the most loved new characters from the sequel trilogy, so we had to include this lovable droid on our list.
It's made up of 1106 pieces, so it's perfect for adults to build over a few hours and the finished result is certainly display worthy. But it was also a toy of the year finalist in 2018, so it's something that can be played with too, thanks to all the interactive parts that come with it. You can make BB-8's head spin and open up different compartments to explore more!
The display stand that comes with it as standard is a nice touch too, and clearly LEGO want this set to be a staple in your LEGO Star Wars collection, and it certainly is that!
3. LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina (75290)
Putting the Ewok controversy to the side for a moment, let's look at a LEGO set that shows off a scene that is so iconic and loved by so many fans that there's barely been a bad word said about it. That's right, we're talking about that cantina scene from the original Star Wars movie. We know you can hear the music playing in your head even now, just from reading about it!
The reason this set is one of the most perfect adult Star Wars LEGO sets is because it's possibly the most nostalgic scene of them all, and now you can recreate it in LEGO form and display it for all your friends and family to see. Coming in at a huge 3187 pieces, and boasting 21 minifigures, this set is bound to keep any adult busy for a long time!
We love this set for its storytelling value too, and being able to recreate the scene where we're first introduced to Han Solo is something that's truly special. Want to make this scene pop even more? We have a specific lighting kit available that's all ready to go over on our store, so you can really make this scene the most special display piece of them all with atmospheric lighting to add even more detail to an already impressive set!
2. LEGO Star Wars R2-D2 (75308)
Yes, we all love BB-8. But as adorable and fun as he is, he'll never replace the one droid almost every Star Wars fan has a special place in their hearts for: R2-D2. When you think about Star Wars, one of the first things you think about is R2-D2, and for good reason too! He appears in all 3 trilogies of the franchise and is as much a part of Star Wars as the Force. Seriously, he's the glue that holds everything together!
So when given an opportunity to recreate your very own R2-D2 with LEGO, you don't pass that up. 2314 pieces for one set is pretty huge when you remember it isn't a scene you're creating, but a model of a single character. And the reason there are so many pieces is because it is so detailed. Putting this R2-D2 LEGO set on display is like having a mini version of the droid right there in your playroom, and we have to admit, it's pretty awesome!
We also have to admit that this set isn't as interactive as BB-8 though, but R2-D2 is such an important part of Star Wars we had to place his set above BB-8s simply because of how instantly recognizable it is. We love this set, and we think you will too!

1. LEGO Star Wars Millenium Falcon (75192)
For us, there was no better choice for the number one spot than the Millenium Falcon. We had to think a lot about places 5-2, but our top spot could never have gone to anything else. The Millenium Falcon is the most important ship in the galaxy, and it at least made a cameo in all 3 trilogies, so it's an important part of the movies too.
We love this LEGO set for a few reasons. First, the 7541 pieces makes it the most impressive of the lot, and it shows just how much LEGO created it with an adult audience in mind, and how much detail they've included. Second, there are multiple sets of minifigures, so you can recreate scenes from the original trilogy (with Leia, Young Han, and Chewbacca) and the sequels (with Finn, Rey, and Old Han).
And if the huge display piece, multiple minifigures, and attention to detail weren't enough, then you can also pick up a lighting kit for this set too! The bright, colorful lights really make a difference to the way your Millenium Falcon looks on display, and we reckon anybody who sees it, Star Wars fan or not, would be impressed by this ultimate adult Star Wars LEGO set!
